Women's Network PEI among 2017 IWS Grant recipients
The 2017 PEI Interministerial Women’s Secretariat (IWS) Grants were announced this week at the PEI Legislature. Along with WNPEI, the grants went to six other organizations across PEI.
The annual grants awarded by the PEI Interministerial Women's Secretariat help organizations that provide direct services and programs for the benefit of women and girls; support projects that enhance awareness, education and social action on women's legal, health, social and economic equality; and/or support the capacity of women's organizations that promote women's equality through advocacy, research and policy development.
Women's Network PEI received $16,600 for the project Sharing Leadership: Engaging all ages in the Women's Movement in PEI. The other grant recipients were:
- Community Legal Information Association PEI
- Cooper Institute
- East Prince Women's Information Centre
- PEI Business Women's Association
- PEI People First
