Charlottetown, PEI — December 19th, 2025 — Women’s Network PEI announces a leadership transition as Executive Director Jillian Kilfoil steps down after nine years.. Kilfoil will be taking on the role of Executive Director at the PEI Rape and Sexual Assault Centre beginning in January 2026.
Leading Women’s Network PEI for nearly a decade, Kilfoil has played a central role in strengthening the organization’s voice, expanding programming, and advancing gender equity across Prince Edward Island. During her tenure, Women’s Network PEI grew its impact while remaining grounded in community relationships, feminist practice and lived experience.
“It has been an absolute honour to lead Women’s Network PEI,” said Kilfoil. “This organization, its staff, board, and community have shaped me deeply. I am incredibly proud of what we’ve built together and confident in Women Network's future. While it’s hard to say goodbye, I’m excited to continue working toward gender justice in a new role.”
The Board of Directors has appointed Rachael Crowder as Interim Executive Director for a four-month period beginning in January. Crowder is a former board member of Women’s Network PEI and brings strong governance experience, deep community knowledge, and a demonstrated commitment to the organization’s mission.
“Rachael is a steady, capable leader who understands both the organization and the broader community landscape,” said Lyndsay Charlton, Chair of the Board of Directors. “Her appointment ensures continuity and stability during this transition, and we are grateful for her willingness to step into this role.”
Crowder will work closely with staff and the Board to support ongoing operations and prepare the organization for its next phase of leadership.
Women’s Network PEI remains committed to advancing gender equity and supporting women and gender-diverse people across the province during this transition and beyond.
