Justice Options for Women is seeking an Organizational Coordinator to lead organization and implement projects on its behalf. Do you understand gender-based violence and gender issues more broadly? Justice Options for Women is a coalition of community and government stakeholders committed to supporting Prince Edward Island women at risk of violence through advocacy and awareness-raising on safe and effective responses to violence and justice policy. The Organizational Coordinator will work independently with the support of a board of directors and project partners to strengthen the organization’s capacity and implement projects mainly related to the Circles of Safety program.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with Board of Directors to oversee and coordinate all projects including Strengthening Circles of Safety and Support;
- Ensure project deliverables are met;
- Ensure monthly reporting to Board of Directors and coordination of organizational and project meetings including AGM;
- Represent the organization at consultations, funder meetings, and other stakeholder engagement sessions;
- Ensure proper financial reporting guidelines and support annual audit;
- Complete project proposals as needed and set forth by Strategic priorities of the organization;
- Complete funder reports;
- Ensure that confidentiality and security of sensitive information is maintained and complies with the requirements of Justice Options for Women and the Canadian Privacy Act;
- Other related duties as may be assigned to meet organizational needs;
- Board management and development (bylaws, governance training, terms of reference development);
- Strategic and operational planning; and
- Organizational coordination (reporting, administration, communications, fund development, etc.).

- Relevant post-secondary degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One-year contract (with possibility of renewal). Hourly rate between $25 and $30 an hour for approximately 30 hours a week based on skills and experience.
Working Environment
This is a remote position which will include in person monthly meetings and in person meetings with project partners, these meetings take place in Charlottetown, PE.
